Kenyatta Powers-Rucker brings nearly three decades of tech and leadership experience to her role as a trailblazer in state technological governance and diversity advocacy. As the first African American female Chief Information Officer for the Maryland Department of Human Services, she transformed IT infrastructures, strengthened cybersecurity, and built high-performing teams.

Kenyatta’s mission is clear: to empower women in technology and leadership to overcome career stagnation, imposter syndrome, and systemic barriers. She created the Rise and Lead Leadership Transformation Challenge based on the very tools and strategies she wished she had throughout her own leadership journey. Now, as Vice President at TriPowers LLC and a trusted leadership coach, she equips ambitious women with the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to lead with power and purpose.
